The River Theater
The River Theater is committed to producing plays that focus on the power of theater as a social tool; a means for expanding awareness and understanding through the relationship between actor and audience. Our goal is to remain an accessible venue for artists who are striking out in areas new both to themselves and to this community.
It is housed in a Uniontown District vintage building which has been converted to a professionally equipped, intimate, 93-seat Black Box theater. Our seasons include five main productions, live music events, traveling play companies, live radio shows, dance concerts, benefits for other non-profits in the community, workshops, and poetry readings (and much more).
The Theater is located at 230 W. Marine Dr., Astoria, or you can find out more about us on our website.
To purchase tickets you can visit the Box Office Wednesdays through Fridays, during the weeks before performances, from noon to 5pm. You can also purchase tickets by calling with a Visa or MasterCard at 503-325-7487, by going online to our website or by visiting the Astoria Co-op (for all non-theater events) on 14th and Duane St.
