The 6500 sqare foot Officer’s Inn was built in 1904 at Fort Stevens as housing for Army officers and their families. Now a Bed and Breakfast, the magnificent Officer’s Inn features 8 luxury guest rooms with private baths. Multi-room suites available, too. The suites feature 3 and 4 beds, and are perfect for families or groups.

We offer quiet romantic get-aways, lodging for families and groups, and we’re even available as a vacation rental! The Officer’s Inn offers the traditional Bed and Breakfast experience, complete with a full breakfast. But we’re so much more!

The Officer’s Inn is not your ordinary Bed and Breakfast!

The Officer’s Inn features private baths, fireplaces, & two formal dining and living rooms. Just across the street is the Fort Stevens Parade Grounds with playground equipment. And all within walking distance of historic Fort Stevens with its mysterious gun emplacements for you to explore. And we’re about a mile away from the famous Peter Iredale shipwreck!

Located where the Columbia River meets to Pacific near Astoria, this Colonial Revival building was built in 1904 as quarters for Fort Stevens Army officers and their families. Army Officer’s Quarters Design 120-E includes pressed tin ceilings, wrap-around porches, inset cupboards, elaborate fireplaces, and ornate staircases. Listed on the National Register, the Officer’s Inn retains its original splendor. But don’t worry, we feature private baths as well as TV’s in every room!

Pet Friendly! Due to popular demand we’ve changed our policy so that you can bring your pet dog to stay in the Sergeant’s Suite. You’ll have your own private side entry so Fido doesn’t go into the common areas with the other “non-pet” guests. This way everybody’s happy, and Fido has a park to run in just across the street! The Officer’s Inn charges a $25 pet fee.

The Officer’s Inn has all the amenities that you expect, plus we have offerings unique to the Officer’s Inn. These include proximity to Fort Stevens, military authenticity, we’re close to the beach, bike and hiking trails, and military reenactments at Fort Stevens. In addition to spacious rooms with Queen and King beds we offer two-bedroom suites with 3 or 4 beds in each suite. The Officer’s Inn is perfect for families or groups. We host retreats, reunions, and others in our large living rooms and dining rooms joined by French doors.
