Smokin’ on the Columbia

Smokin’ on the Columbia is a one-day barbecue cookoff and state championship chili competition benefiting United Way of Clatsop County. Award-winning barbecue teams from across the Pacific Northwest and as far away as Canada will compete for $1000 in prize money, and will sell their food to the public between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Chili teams will compete for the Oregon State Championship chili title and “People’s Choice” award. This is a qualifying competition sanctioned by Tolbert and the Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association.
