Mark Twain Stories

The Astor Street Opry Company will be showing a Reader’s Theaters presentation of MARK TWAIN STORIES, for three performances at the ASOC Playhouse 129 West Bond Street in Uniontown Astoria on Friday and Saturday evenings, march 27th & 28th and a Sunday Matinee on March 29th.

This production is the third in the 2009 series “The Plays the Thing!” presented by ASOC to support their Capital Campaign goal to purchase the ASOC Playhouse as a permanent theatrical home. The $10 ticket price will not only include this serious thought provoking comedy but also a delicious POTATO BAR with all Organic fixings provided by The Astoria Cooperative for the evening performances and a delightful Dessert Bar for the Sunday Matinee.

Directed by Michael Wangen the stories included: are The Diaries of Adam and Eve, An encounter with an Interviewer, The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County and A Helpless situation all done in a very Basic “Story Telling Fashion “ though many voices maybe telling one story. The story tellers include: LaMar Blackner, Katy Gallagher, Bob Goldberg, Seth Goldstein, Edward James, Ashley Mundel and Jon Osborn

The doors open for the evening performances at 7pm for the ‘Potato Bar” with the shows starting at 8pm and for the Sunday matinee at 1pm for the “Dessert Bar” with the show starting at 2pm.
