Beginner’s Instruction to Kayaking
Date and Time: August 30, 2008 12:00 to 3:00 PM Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Price per person: $70.00 + tax, includes guide, kayak, and related equipment
Have you always wanted to try kayaking but didn’t know where to start? Are you afraid that you wouldn’t know what to do in the event of a capsize? (believe it or not, a capsize is not that big of a deal! As you will find out – it’s actually kind of fun!) Skamokawa Center offers clinics that teach the basics of kayaking safely: how to get in and out, how to make your kayak go where you want it to go, how to paddle without making your body sore, and how to perfect your strokes, turns, and braces.
For $70 you will get instruction in kayaking basics and simple rescue techniques. The use of a wetsuit and all other necessary gear are included. A minimum of two students and a maximum of six will be accepted per class.
Advance reservations are required. For information contact Carla at 360-795-8300 or email info@skamokawakayak.com
