4th of July Celebration



Sunday, July 3
10AM-3PM – Astoria Sunday Market
Astoria Sunday Market features up to 200 vendors each week offering locally-made products that have been hand-crafted, grown, created or gathered by the farmers, craftspeople and artisans featured each week. In addition, the Market has a lively food court with regional entertainment making this the gathering place each Sunday for locals and visitors to the region.

7PM – Liberty Theater presents the North Coast Symphonic Band Concert “A Bicentennial Fourth!” Free Admission
The North Coast Symphonic Band will present a FREE concert of patriotic and familiar music at 7 PM on Sunday, July 3, at the Liberty Theater in downtown Astoria. The North Coast Symphonic Band is composed of 50+ musicians from the North Coast area with special guests from the Portland metro area. The featured work for the evening includes ASTORIA by Dr. Kevin Walczyk. The North Coast Symphonic Band commissioned this work in honor of Astoria’s Bicentennial. Also featured on this July program will be Highlights of Shanghaied in Astoria arranged by Dave Robertson especially for the North Coast Symphonic Band and vocalist ChrisLynn Taylor. The concert will include familiar and patriotic tunes and well as military service flag presentation by members of Clatsop Post No. 12 of the American Legion. There will be marches, show tunes and sing-alongs and the whole family will be entertained.

Monday, July 4
<4th at the Fort>
Lewis and Clark National Historical Park – Fort Clatsop will celebrate the holiday with Flintlock Volley Firing at 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Other daily Ranger programs and demonstrations will continue as usual. website

Noon – Warrenton Fire Department BBQ
Barbecue at Warrenton Fire Station, 225 S. Main Ave. The annual fundraiser for the volunteer firefighters association includes hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks.

Noon – Liberate the Ales
Fort George Brewery’s annual Liberate the Ales Party will feature a great BBQ, live music and of course a beer garden with Ma Barley taking the stage at 8pm. website

3PM – Warrenton Old Fashioned Parade
Old Fashioned Fourth of July Parade along Main Avenue. This year’s theme is “Hooked on Warrenton,” which is designed to get people focusing on some of the things that make this region a great place to live and visit. As many as 100 entries, including fire vehicles, clowns, hot cars, local businesses and festival-themed floats, will make their way down Main, many of them tossing candy to children along the route. The parade is sponsored by the Warrenton Business Association. Applications are available at City Hall, Warrenton Community Library and The UPS Store. 4PM – Warrenton Picnic and Family Fun at Park
Picnic and family fun and games at Robinson Community Park behind City Hall. This event is sponsored by local churches.

5PM – Astoria Riverwalk Parade
The Astoria Downtown Historical District Association (ADHDA) invites anyone and everyone to participate in the 3rd annual River Walk Community Parade. The parade will start at 5pm (starting location to be announced). Come in costume! Bring the kids or the dogs! Decorate your bike, trike, stroller, or umbrella! Promote your business! It the ADHDA’s hope that through our combined energy we can create a vibrant, artistic, fun, and safe atmosphere for all community members to gather, relax and celebrate as we enjoy Astoria’s fabulous fireworks display together in Downtown Astoria! 5PM – Astoria 4th of July Party
Join us this year for the biggest party in Astoria! You can play carnival games, enjoy good food and drinks, and watch the fireworks! This event will be held at Columbia Field located on the East side of town. Festivities will start at 5pm and conclude after the fireworks. Dusk – Astoria Fireworks Display over the Columbia River
Line up along the Columbia River in Astoria to watch a fantastic fireworks display brought to you by the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce! The eye catching celebration is an exciting and entertaining end to the 4th of July festivities. Western Display Fireworks, of Canby, will light up the sky with red, white & blue and the largest displays in the community! Western Display Fireworks is a 4th generation family owned business with more than 60 years of experience. Join us along the Astoria Riverwalk for this year’s celebration.
