Great Columbia Crossing 10K Run/Walk
You must register on-line, by mail or in person before October 3, 2010 to participate in the Great Columbia Crossing 10K run/walk.
Experienced athletes and amateurs alike will enjoy this unique opportunity to cross the mighty Columbia River on foot during the 29th Annual Great Columbia
Crossing 10K Walk/Run on October 3, 2010.
Participants will start the race at Dismal Nitch in Washington, cross the 4.1 mile-long Astoria-Megler Bridge – typically open to vehicle and cycle traffic only – and finish along the water at the foot of the bridge in Astoria, Oregon.
The Astoria-Megler Bridge is longest continuous three-span through truss bridge in the world. It rises 205 feet above the river, offering a challenging incline as well as scenic panoramic views of the the historic Astoria and Warrenton communities.
This is a great event for the entire family! Whether you’re ready to challenge yourself during the timed race or walk the bridge with friends and family, the Great Columbia Crossing has proved to be a fun and exciting event for all of our participants. You can register online or print the application and mail it to the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce to get involved with the Great Columbia Crossing 10K!
