We are excited to announce Don Nisbett as our official artist for the 2008 Festival. Although Nisbett’s work is well known in the region, as well as across the US; many of you know his work from last year’s artwork for the Great Columbia Crossing. He and his wife, Jenna Austin, own Paint ‘N the Town Red, a new gallery located in downtown Astoria at 1271 Commercial. They live just over the bridge in Ilwaco, WA and also have a gallery at the Port of Ilwaco – Don Nisbett’s Crew House Gallery.

Don is known for his fun and whimsical paintings, especially of his northwest scenes, fish and crab. The featured art of a crab pouring wine includes a wine bottle label with the AWACC logo and each limited edition print can be individually customized upon purchase. To order your print in advance, call 325-4988.

He will also be next to the AWACC retail booth at the Crab Festival this year selling his featured art as well as hand painted wine glasses and other original art. Additionally, the artwork will also be available on other items, like cards, magnets, tiles and coffee mugs. Stop by the booth and give them a warm Astoria welcome!
