The Skipanon Brand micro-cannery and fish processing plant is located along the scenic Skipanon River and waterfront trail, near the mouth of the Columbia River in Warrenton, Oregon. Norman and Judy Kujala began Oregon Ocean Seafoods (home of Skipanon Brand) in 1978. Today it is still owned and operated by the Kujala Family.

The experience and dedication to quality seafood inside the Skipanon Brand processing plant and cannery explains the difference. All of our seafood is processed at our Warrenton plant using just a handful of highly skilled fish filleters.

Skipanon Brand canned fish has no preservatives, artificial color or flavor. Our smoked fish is smoked with selected hardwoods (no smoke flavor additive) at our Warrenton plant and micro-cannery.

None of our products contain wheat, rye, barley or crossbred hybrid of these grains. We do not add soy to any of our fresh or canned products.

We have two generations of fishermen in the family and are still operating one of only a few canneries left on the Oregon Coast.

Whether it’s from our boat, The Cape Windy, or other local fishermen, all of our seafood is locally caught and we assure a quality product. We are dedicated to making sure you taste the difference, so you will enjoy sharing it with friends and family.

You can find our FRESH seafood at the Beaverton Farmers’ Market in Beaverton, Oregon every Saturday from May – October. You can also find us right here at the coast at the Astoria Sunday Market every Sunday from May – September.
