Chamber Checks are like a super gift certificate – they can be used to purchase merchandise, products or services at more than 500 merchants and business members of the Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce. (Only Chamber members accept Chamber Checks. Sorry, no exceptions)
The Astoria Warrenton Chamber of Commerce Chamber Checks program is designed to promote “Shop Local First”. The use of Chamber Checks insures that this money is spent in the community, benefiting Chamber member businesses, thereby benefiting the community while giving you more options for gifts.
Anyone can purchase the Chamber Checks at the Chamber office in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $25, $50 and $100. There is no service charge or purchasing fee.
Chamber Checks are great for every gift giving situation – birthday, graduation, employee rewards and incentives – the possibilities are endless.

How do Chamber Checks work?
To spend Chamber Checks:
Use them just like cash with any of our Chamber members!
For merchants and businesses:
Treat Chamber Checks just like regular checks. Please make sure that all employees who handle money are well informed of the program and do not turn away customers who bring in Chamber Checks. After acceptance, deposit the check, just like any other check, into your bank account. Your account will be credited in the amount of the Chamber Check. Businesses that are not Chamber members may not participate in the Chamber Check program. If a business accepts our “Chamber Check” and is not a Chamber member, the Checks will not be redeemed. This program is to promote Chamber members and is an added benefit to our investors. (see more info below)

Dear Chamber Members:
This spring the Astoria Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce launched a new “Chamber Checks” program designed to encourage locals to shop local, specifically at our Chamber member businesses. It’s a “super” gift certificate that’s really like cash to your business.
Chamber Checks are real checks guaranteed by the Chamber. People purchase them at the Chamber (at no additional cost) and give them as gifts and employee incentives. These are negotiable instruments just like any other check, and you can include them with your regular bank deposits at full face value. A sample picture of the check and a promotional brochure are included with this mailing.
Here are the high points to share with all of your employees:
• Chamber Checks come in denominations of $5, $10, $20, $25, $50 and $100.
• “Chamber Check!” is boldly printed on the front of the check.
• The Chamber’s name and buoy logo is printed on the check and they are drawn on our account at Clatsop Community Bank.
• Chamber Checks are payable to “Any Chamber Member”.
• Chamber Checks have security features imprinted on them and are the standard business size checks (8 ½” x 3 1/2”).
• Chamber Checks can be deposited into your account like any other check.
• Chamber Checks are as good as and should be treated like cash.
• You can accept the check without worry – it is 100% guaranteed by the Astoria Warrenton Chamber.
• Anyone may purchase or use a Chamber Check.
• Chamber Checks are good only at Chamber member businesses.
• There is no cost to you or your customer for accepting Chamber Checks.
Before you know it, the holiday shopping season will be upon us. The Chamber will be promoting Chamber Checks to the community all season long in hopes of boosting local sales. The easier it is for your customers to use Chamber Checks while shopping, the more successful this Chamber Member program will be.
