Astoria-Warrenton Chamber Ambassadors
The Astoria-Warrenton Chamber Ambassadors’ objective is to assist the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce in business recognition through ribbon cuttings, ground breaking ceremonies, grand openings and welcoming new businesses to the area. The Chamber Ambassadors are dedicated to the economic growth and development of the Lower Columbia Region. This group of 30 high spirited people has made a commitment to recognizing businesses for their accomplishments and contributions to the community.
Ambassadors’ Choice Award
At January’s Chamber Awards Banquet, your Chamber Ambassadors honored the first recipient of what will become an annual award: The “Ambassadors’ Choice” Award.
Given to a business or person who went above the call to serve our community and/or AWACC members, this is our small way of saying “thanks.” Maybe the recipient was there for every Chamber event. Perhaps they were the most enthusiastic cheerleader for our beautiful communities.
Or maybe they threw a huge party, built a float, traveled the Pacific Northwest with the Regatta Association, sponsored a giant concert, hosted an English Lord, and generally gave it their all for the Astoria Bicentennial.
Turns out that our inaugural winner, Eric Paulson of Lektro, did all that and more. And that was just in 2011 – Eric’s been a dynamic supporter of everything Astoria/Warrenton for some time now. He’s got some new hardware for his office – an Ambassadors Choice plaque – and his name is first and foremost on a permanent display at the Chamber offices. Thank you for everything, Eric.
